Cubital tunnel syndromeCubitalTunnel Syndrome is a condition that causes tingling or even pain in the finger or ring finger. Sometimes you can have symptoms when you keep your elbows bent for a long time. Patients can even be awoken by it at night. The symptoms are caused by irritation of the ulnar nerve. This nerve, the nervus ulnaris, runs behind the inside of the elbow in some sort of small tunnel.

Elbow

The biceps is the largest muscle on the front side of the upper arm. The muscle is attached to the forearm by a tendon. Its main function is to bend the elbow. A tear in the biceps tendon at the elbow usually occurs after trauma, such as a fall, or when heavy strain was put on it and the arm is forced straight from a bent position. The use of some medicines, such as corticosteroids, can affect the quality of this tendon, making it susceptible to tears. Smoking is also one of the risk factors. The problem occurs much more in men than in women. A biceps tendon rupture occurs in about 1.2 per cent of 100,000 inhabitants per year.
